FAQs

Many people set up their appointments, book their weddings, or schedule their events, then think of a barrage of questions to ask me. DON'T WORRY! Questions are good!

I have compiled a list of some of the most frequently asked questions I've received. All of these questions have been asked by actual clients, but all clients are different. If you have questions after reading this, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Q: What should I wear?
A: Depending on the type of session you have scheduled, what you wear should reflect your personality. If you're a jeans and t-shirt kind of guy/gal and are coming for a senior session, by all means, wear jeans and a t-shirt. I recommend bringing a minimum of three outfits: one casual, one business casual (like you'd typically wear to church), and one dressy. This goes for high school senior pictures as well as couples photography and portraits. If you're coming in for a family portrait session, that's a bit different. Pinterest is chock full of samples of what to wear for family sessions. Try to compliment each other. I personally like to see a variety with complimentary colors, instead of matching outfits, as it gives the portrait more personality. If you just can't decide, send me a photo of your outfits and I will be happy to let you know if they will "work" in the photos.


Q: How long does a photography session last?
A: A standard session will last approximately one hour. I don't have an hour glass or timer set, but somewhere around an hour is plenty of time for me to get some great shots.


Q: What if the weather is bad the day of my photography session?
A: If you are okay with studio only, not a problem! However, if you have your heart set on that breath-taking photo by the creek or in a field, we will need to reschedule. If it's a summer storm that might blow through, I'll wait it out, but my equipment doesn't do water well. I won't risk your safety or mine, so if it's icy or if there are storm warnings, we'd better just stay home.


Q: Do you travel for weddings?
A: YES! I serve I have photographed weddings in Grand Cayman, Dallas, Waco, and all over the states of Arkansas and Missouri. Eureka Springs AR and Branson MO are both about 30 minutes from me. If you have a destination wedding in mind, let me know and I'll send you a quote.


Q: Do you require a contract?
A: I require a contract for wedding photography clients, but not for my other sessions at this point.


Q: What do you mean by a sitting or session fee? 

A: A session fee is what I charge to style and shoot the photos.  You're getting my experience, training and time.  The session fee does not include prints or digital files.

Q: What do I do once my gallery is posted?

A: You have one month to order your prints or digital files.
